Measure your lawn
Knowing roughly how big your lawn is helps us price it more closely. Use the calculator below, then carry the result straight into your quote.

Lawn calculator
Split your lawn into simple shapes and add each one. The total updates as you go.
0 m² of lawn
Roughly 0 rolls, at about one roll per m² plus your offcut allowance.
How to measure
Sketch the shape
Draw a quick outline of the lawn and split it into rectangles, triangles and circles.
Measure each part
Use a tape measure in metres. Round up to the nearest 10cm.
Add them up
Enter each shape above. For odd shapes, a rectangle that covers it is close enough.
Allow for offcuts
Add 5% for most lawns, or 10% for a lawn full of curves.
Tips for awkward gardens
For a curved edge, take the widest length and width and treat it as a rectangle, then pick the +10% option. For an L-shaped lawn, measure it as two rectangles. Leave out flower beds, paths and sheds.
Don't worry about being exact. A rough figure is plenty for a quote, and we'll check the size before the work starts.
How many rolls is that?
Each roll covers about one square metre. So a lawn of 4m by 3m is 12m², and with 5% extra for offcuts that's 13 rolls.
