Lawn turfing in Newcastle Great Park
Great Park is one of the city's newest neighbourhoods, and building is still going on. Many gardens here are only a few years old and need a better start.

Newer homes, young gardens
Gardens on newer estates are often finished quickly at the end of a build. A shallow layer of topsoil over compacted subsoil is common, and so are stones and bits of building material just under the surface. The lawn may look fine at handover, then struggle in its first wet winter or dry summer.
What we do on new-build plots
- Lift a struggling builder's lawn, or clear bare soil
- Pick out stones and debris near the surface
- Break up compaction so the ground drains
- Add topsoil where the existing layer is thin
- Level so water runs away from the house
- Lay and trim turf to paths, drives and fences

Questions people ask
My builder's turf is dying. Can you replace it?
Yes. We lift it, fix the soil underneath and lay fresh turf, so the new lawn isn't sitting on the same problem.
Do you work with developers on Great Park?
Yes. Pick Developer or Trade on the form and add the plot details.
